Weddings at Westwind
The perfect place for your local destination wedding
Westwind is an ideal setting to celebrate your special day, and turn your wedding into a truly memorable event for all. Our secluded location and limited river access create the atmosphere of being transported to your own private island.
Like any stay at Westwind, some of the things that make Westwind special also require an extra level of planning. Our staff will work with you to help ensure your event goes off smoothly. Here are just a few things to keep in mind:
- Arrival and Departure of your guests is by river crossing. Crossing times are determined by the tide and are not subject to negotiation. You should plan your whole event around these times. We can try to schedule additional crossings as needed.
- Access to the Emergency Road is extremely limited. All able-bodied guests must plan to ride the ferry or hike/bike in along the Emergency Road.
- Access for service vehicles (caterer, flowers, entertainment) is also limited and must be worked out in advance with our office.
- Because of our busy rental calendar, Westwind frequently cannot provide access to the site prior to the designated river crossing times for setup.
- Weddings are subject to special pricing and require a two-night minimum stay.
