The Westwind Stewardship Group welcomes Julie McMurchie to her first Board meeting on Saturday, April 21st. Julie brings long experience at the YWCA Camp Westwind and broad ties in Oregon to her work for Westwind. Having grown up in Oregon, Julie McMurchie has travelled to and loved the Oregon Coast since her earliest memories. In 1998, her two older sisters introduced her to Mother-Child Camp at Camp Westwind, and she attended with her children and their aunts and cousins every summer until the children were too old to be campers and instead morphed into counselors. Westwind is thus deep in her family’s soul. Julie is currently on the board and has done extensive volunteer work with Compassion and Choices of Oregon for 10 years. She has a JD from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark, and a BA from Oberlin College.
